It started with a dream...
Over a decade ago, in the fall, I had a series of recurring dreams. They were all of the same theme but very different from my life at that time. I was a stay-at-home mom, living in a small southern town, volunteering at my church. In each dream, I was with a small group of people that I didn't know and we were in the inner city. It was cold and sometimes snowy. In each dream, we went to a different place to talk to people. One time it was an old walk-up tenement, once it was a home turned into a women's shelter and another time we were in narrow alleys between businesses.
The final dream was very vivid and emotional. We were in a big old condemned inner city church. It felt like being at a funeral because the next day the church was going to be torn down. We walked around the sanctuary, surveying its condition. We stepped over bags of garbage and piles of broken plaster. There were holes in the walls which let the sun shine through. The rays of sun magnified the dust and dirt hanging in the air. Loose wires hung from the ceiling and Bibles lay torn on the floor. We were grieving at all we saw.
Then God said, "You're not here to mourn the church, you are here to restore the church!"
I remember feeling a great weight of the enormity of that "job"! Of course, He wasn't referring to a building, but His living, breathing, Holy Spirit-filled Believers. Many have been destroyed by the weight of the world they have embraced in their lives, condemned to destruction. They've ignored and disrespected God. They've abandoned God's standards to fit the humanistic world culture. The things of the world scream so loudly in their minds and emotions that they no longer hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. The lust of the eye, lust of the flesh and pride consume their thoughts. Their "lamps aren't filled" and they aren't listening for His return. They also aren't experiencing the peace and abundance of Kingdom living. They are experiencing depression, divorce, perversion, anxiety, chaos and fear as much as those in the world. You can't embrace the world and all it has to offer and live a Kingdom life.
That is why I've started this website. I will be writing about uncompromising Kingdom principles, based on God's Word, in practical terms, dealing with the world's daily challenges and temptations. I pray to write as the Holy Spirit leads me. I want to encourage other Believers in Christ to step up their game, build up their walls, create a foundation of uncompromising standards. And to fill their mind and emotions with God's Word. It truly has the answer to every problem. Jesus made it very simple. Man and religion have complicated it. Let's keep it simple and get ready for His return. In the mean time, you will become a light for Jesus, shining in the darkness. This dark world needs your light. It's time to fill your lamp with oil and light it.

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket,
but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works
and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16
